EUREKA, Humboldt County — November 4, 2026. Jessica Pettitt holds the lead in the Eureka City Schools Trustee Area 5 election after the November 3 county election-night count.
Unofficial results
Pettitt has 619 votes (61.78%) and Sheerah Alice Moore has 383 votes, giving Pettitt a reported lead of 236 votes.
What the vote means locally
This school-board contest is independent of Eureka mayor and city council elections. The figures are an unofficial November 4 snapshot; new ballots may alter totals.
Why counting continues
The November 3 general-election final election-night report included 21,509 ballots countywide, but this was not the final tally of all eligible ballots. The county announced that post-election updates would begin November 5 around 5 p.m. Pacific. Precinct reporting does not confirm that all mail and provisional ballots have been canvassed.
